Chedzoy Pre School is an established pre school that offers a warm and friendly welcome. We have been running for over 35 years meeting the needs of pre school children from Bridgwater, Chedzoy and the surrounding villages.
Our Mission Statement
The staff and committee of Chedzoy Preschool aim:
· To welcome every child between the age of two and a half and school age and to provide them with the opportunity to develop within a secure and caring environment.
· To provide a learning experience within and extra to the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, appropriate to the needs of each child in order to discover and nurture their individual personality.
· To manage, care for and develop all aspects of the preschool professionally and effectively.
· To ensure the preschool is fully equipped with up-to-date, well maintained resources in line with the needs of the children.
· To promote attitudes of mutual respect and care, to encourage good behaviour.
· To work closely with the children’s families, carers and other professionals.
· To provide a safe, healthy and happy environment in which adults and children can work, play and learn together, in which the children can feel confident and relaxed enabling them to fully enjoy their first steps into independence.
We are an OFSTED run pre school and enjoy an excellent reputation and glowing OFSTED report from our last inspection. We have the advantage of a large indoor and outdoor space for the children to play. We have ample parking space and we are situated just off the main A39 on the outskirts of Bridgwater.
Chedzoy Pre School holds a toddler group run within
the Pre School that provides a fantastic stepping stone for your child
to start Pre School.
Whilst attending our pre-school, the children are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities to enhance their abilities and to increase their confidence and self esteem, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Our aim of providing play and fun enables each child to reach their full potential, whilst our experienced staff hold a range of qualifications in childcare and are supportive in ensuring that each child's individual needs are met.
Visits to our pre school are welcomed and encouraged. Shortly before your child is due to start pre school, two or three visits are planned (at no cost) to help your child feel safe and secure. We adopt a 'flexible settling in' procedure to suit each individual child's needs and this will be discussed between parents/carers and pre school leaders.
